Received a Recall Notice from Baxter, PD Mini Caps, Lot #GD895771
Possible seal fault on the envelopes.
Fortunately I do not have any of that Lot #. If I did I have already used them, who knows?

You would not know unless you had an infection, and then not for sure.
-
I've thrown out a few mini-caps lately because the brown stuff inside falls out when I open the envelope. It wasn't expired, but it didn't look kosher.

I'm getting a partial delivery today. What problem is Baxter having these days?
-
Ditto here with a rare faulty sponge placement in a cap.
My last monthly delivery they were out of the yellow 1 1/2% solution.
I was down to my last two boxes. Tried to call Baxter but the machine said estimated 37 minute wait to reach a human. Looked up Corporate contact email but only found a web-site form. Filled it out and got a response next business day telling me the local area warehouse had earmarked my 10 cases for next dsay delivery.
Glad, as I was down to just the one box by then.
This is the second month they have been short on the yellow. Last month they had to make a second delivery of 6 cases of yellow.
I know there must be a number of people using their product, but I would also think they would increase production to be sure to meet all orders. We rely on them for our life sustaining supplies.
So far, I'm doing O.K. I'd hate to start stressing out over the thought of running out. My D center is a little over an hour away, but I would definitely be calling them to see how much they could give me to get through to a delivery.

I found out why they're behind in their orders. Ever since Medi-care started "bundling" hemodialysis payments, leaving out Epo and Vit D, etc. Nephrologists figured out they could make more money with periodontal dialysis. There's been a lot of people switching, so many so, that both big companies have stopped taking new patients. They can't handle the volume yet.
