I was on my way to dialysis and I got the call many of us dream about. was told that they has a High Risk Kidney that matches up good for you. How fast can you make it in, so I turned around and got my stuff and mad in it in by 9am. I got threw registration in about 10minutes and I was wheeled up to the 16th floor. I getting my mind around it and start calling all the people I need to. The Tech comes in and takes an EKG and AtoP Chest X-ray and next the 8 tubes are on the counter waiting for my blood. Before the tech can draw the 1st vial the Surgical Team came in and the lead doctor told us the the organs from the donor could not be used. So, to sum it after 3 and a 1/2 on the list I got my 1st call. I just hope the calls will keep coming, I really want to on to the next sage of my life, :bow;

:boxing; Keep your fighting gloves on and your spirit up! Please let us know if you get another call and in the meantime, share your thoughts on what kind of life you want when you get a transplant. What would be the first thing you'd do as a transplant recipient?

What motivatged you to accept a high risk kidney rather than wait for a low risk one? I'm on the list but doing well on D, so I would be very reluctant to accept high risk.

The calls will keep coming and the next one will be perfect for you.
