Post by: orion on June 11, 2014, 11:57:40 AM
Dose any one ever heard of this  Wearable PD machine?
http://www.awak.com/wearable_dialysis.htm (http://www.awak.com/wearable_dialysis.htm)
It will regenerate pd fluid, so we don't need to carry so many pd bag.

I heard they start the clinic test last year in US and Europe,
but I can't find any information about the test result.
any one participate the test, or know something about it?

I’ve read up on it.  It’s a really small portable machine that you carry with you everywhere you go.  It’s supposed to clean your blood while you have it on.  You can take it off should you want to do activities and put it back on when you are done.  You get a carrying bag to put the machine in along with a cup for your toxins.

Here’s the down side for me.  Your toxins have to come out in a small cup that is connected to the machine and as it gets full you dump the toxins in a toilet.  I don’t want to walk around with a cup full of toxins.  I am afraid that the smell from the toxins will become unbearable and I don’t want to walk around smelling like toxins.  We all know how that smells.

However, it looks like you will have so much freedom to live a really close to normal life.

Hope this helps.
