Hello fellow forum goers,

I'm a 37 year old male from Ontario Canada. I was diagnosed with Nephritis when I was 23 at which point I was a 70+% Kidney function. At present I am less than a year away from dialysis and I'm exploring my options hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis.

I've come here to share my experiences and learn from others who are in the same boat.

Well, I certainly hope you're not really dying!

Thanks for joining IHD.  You will find an enormous amount of information on this site that should help you decide which modality will work best for you.  You can always change your mind.  Lots of dialysis patients switch modalities for lots of reasons.

We're all pretty much in the same boat.

Well now, for the record we all are on the road to dieing right from the moment we were born.  :oops;
Might not even be kidney related.  :secret;
