I have my final dialysis treatment tomorrow before I get a donated kidney on Tuesday. I'm super excited, but I also am so nervous that I kinda want to just throw up and hide in my room. I'm hoping this transplant goes as well as the first (26.5 years). :2thumbsup;

I had similar feelings when the date for my second transplant was set, so I'm inclined to say it's perfectly normal.
I'm hoping that this transplant is the last renal replacement therapy you shall ever need. Best of luck!

They would have to knock me smooth out in order to hold still. I wouldn't know how to act just to think that I might be free of Dialysis.
We will be praying for a smooth surgery and that you will wake up feeling a full bladder, and got to GO!
Who ever thought we would one day want to be able to P again?

:cheer: CONGRATULATIONS Calamity!!! I am very happy to hear that you will be getting a new kidney soon! I will be praying that all goes well for you! ~Sharon~

So my surgery was last Tuesday :) I feel like a train wreck, but that tends to happen with me and surgery. My levels are FANTASTIC. :cheer: My creatnine is in the high 60's. The kidney is working beautifully. I just have to get through this pain hump and I'll be good again. I got discharged from the hospital yesterday and have a clinic appointment today. I can see light at the end of the table.
My donor (my mom) is pretty sore, but she's coping.
thanks for the kind words! I also got my chest catheter removed yesterday. I had named him Pete. My kidney's name is still a work in progress :) :thx;

Tremendous news!
Your Mom is an awesome person, sharing her kidney with you to again give you a more 'normal' life. She truely is a special person.
Don't try to do too much too fast, give yourself a little time to finish healing well.
Take Care,
Charlie B
