MASSENA -- The Calico Stitchers recently donated homemade lap quilts to each patient at the Massena Memorial Hospital dialysis center.

The club has been working for the past few months in designing, stitching and machine quilting 47 lap quilts.

The quilts were made with both men and women in mind, with different designs and fabrics.

Each quilt was lined with a flannel backing for the patients. Quilts were 100 percent cotton, with no synthetic materials used.
