Title: Feraheme

Anyone out there ever had iron infusions with feraheme ?  If so, what was your experience. Any side effects and how fast did you feel any improvement? Thank you .

All but one of my iron infusions were done with faraheme. I never had any problems with it during or after my treatments. They did always keep me at clinic for 30 minutes after the treatment to make sure there were no adverse side effects. All in all, it was a really benign treatment.

I've had 2 infusions of feraheme. Iron supplements were not helping with my iron levels so they wanted to do an infusion.

I had a very mild reaction to both infusions (congestion/scratchy throat) that I countered with benedryl. My iron has been stable since my last infusion so I haven't had an infusion over 6 months.
