Title: Blood pressure rising on night machine
Post by: Seaweed on November 30, 2013, 11:23:58 PM
My blood pressure seem to be rising  ever since  I switch  to the from Manuel pd  exchanges to machine, at best I might get a reading of 139 /86
But my BP hang around 160/100.

I'm not sure why , I'm going back to work full time , I'm hoping that will help, because the only activity I do now is walking the dog

Do you take your meds before going to sleep?  That is supposed to help.

Mine has been bouncing around a lot, too. My nurse told me to pull more fluid off to control it. I normally use one green and one yellow bag. She said when I see my bp is high, I should use two greens for a night or two to bring it back down.

Watch your weight too, if you are retaining fluid your weight should increase too.

Maybe you are putting on too much fluid during the day? Doing CAPD would take fluid off during during the day/night depending on your dwell times and how many you do. The cycler does it during the night so you would only be taking the fluid off then. That might explain why you have high BP at night.

How is your BP in the morning? What are your UFs?
