Title: new to board
Post by: health reporter on November 20, 2013, 10:42:16 AM
Greetings!

I am a health reporter with the Bend Bulletin, a daily newspaper in Bend, Oregon. I'm not on dialysis, although I have written about the topic several times and I sympathize with those who face it on a weekly basis.

I'm working on a story about organ transplants and am looking for individuals who have been denied access to the list because they're too old or too high risk for a transplant. If that sounds like you, and you'd be willing to talk about your situation, you can email me at health@bendbulletin.com.

I'll repost this in the transplant section, and will post a link to the story when it runs.

Thanks and good luck to all of you!

Thank you! More people need to be made aware that kidney disease is forever, there is no cure...yet!

I thought I posted here but it is gone.

I have been to the Fresenius in Bend and it was awesome.  It had nice chairs and heated panels in the ceiling.  My niece now lives in Lebanon, OR and they have a small center and never have room for me so I have to try Corvallis and Albany.

Welcome and I hope you get some participation.
