Here's the situation: I normally do my exchanges using a cycler overnight. However, my nephrologist has me doing one manual exchange during the day too. Generally it isn't a problem; however, I find myself being away from the house more and more for errands, appointments, and day trips. I don't want to haul my cycler to heat up the solution for these short excursions. The heating pad that I was given by the clinic was cheap and no longer works (and wasn't a particularly good option). I have been told NOT to use a microwave.
So...I'm looking for an alternative means of warming up my solution when I'm away from home. I know about the warmer from Stickman Industries and while I like the idea, I would rather not pay $400 to periodically heat a bag. Does anyone have any other safe, easy ways to warm up a manual bag?

My center told me not to use a microwave, too, then they said that realistically, it's likely to happen anyway, so if I *must* use the microwave, the proper way is to microwave it for 1 minute, shake the bag, and then 1 more minute and shake again. I think they said 2 minutes is the maximum, but if it wasn't warm yet, I'd likely shake and warm again, but change the intervals to 10 - 15 seconds. I've onlly had to do it once and it worked out pretty well. The concern is in having the bag too hot from the microwave and burning your insides.

You can buy electric cooler/warmer This link as a sample of what is out there. It plugs into the "cigerette lighter" socket of a vehicle.
