Title: Started PD on 9/16/13
Post by: Sydnee on September 18, 2013, 09:12:00 PM
Been coming here for a while, Ed started PD in August of 12' and I went through training with him then.

But we got a new (I mean NEW) PD nurse so I have to go through 5 days of training. I am her first solo trainee. I hate being practice!

There is not a thing she told me that I didn't already know from here or Ed's training.

She admitted I knew everything she does. and I do the exchange "perfectly" but still she doesn't want me to do exchanges at home until Friday after she signs off. So, so far I have gotten 4 exchanges and needless to say I'm not feeling any better yet.

Just pretend that SHE is the trainee - work with her, she'll be glad she had the training.     :clap; :clap; :clap;

I'd be frustrated, too! My nurse told me I shouldn't expect to feel better for a month or two, but I thought I felt differently after just a couple of days, and my neph told me I look healthier after about two weeks. My nurse also had me doing manual exchanges at home on day 2 of training and using the cycler at home on day 4. It sounds like you'll have your hands full training yours! It's just one week, right? You can do anything for one week, right?
