Just had to give up row 14 tickets to the Giants vs Packers and the Giants vs Cowboys game. Thanks ESRD! :sarcasm; :rant;

What a bummer. :thumbdown;

There's always a new reason dialysis sucks.

What does Obama have to do with it ???

It was a joke. There are few videos around the internet in which people complain about something, then say "Thanks Obama!" Even though he couldn't possibly be the reason. It's an internet meme as well!
Example: "My dog just took a crap on the floor?!"
Response: "Thanks Obama!"

Kind of along the lines of "It's Bush's fault." :rofl;

If you're talking about a sudden incident, ok.
If you're talking about dialysis, no you don't.
Contrary to Dialysis Belief, you'll live skipping one treatment. It takes 2+ weeks to die with missing ALL dialysis days. They give it such a bad name to take a day or two off, but it's fine. I'm transplant now, but trust me I wanted to use this tactic so bad.

some of us can't skip, if we want to feel at all normal, especially if we have no kidney function at all. It's not a matter of life or death, it's a matter of being comfortable in your own skin

iKaz: yes it was Jenna Marbles! I didn't want to link the video however because there are a lot if swear words and it might not be to some people's liking.
Me missing the game has nothing to do with dialysis. It's about 3-4 weeks after my transplant is scheduled and being in a stadium full of people during flu season would be a really dumb thing to do lol. It's amazing that I'm getting a transplant and I feel blessed to have such a caring mother that is able to donate, but at the same time, it really suuuuuuuuks missing the games :(

Transplant is worth it. I hope you can see it on TV or listen to it on radio. Radio? What's that??

Well, take solace in the fact that the Giants are absolutely terrible this year so you're only missing Eli throwing more picks :angel; (Plus even if they were going for 19 straight wins, I'd still take a new kidney :D )
But I'm with the others on missing a treatment to do something out of the ordinary that gets you off the monotony of dialysis, home, dialysis, home, dialysis, home. Im missing I think two dialysis treatments to go see the Niners play their last game in Candlestick on Monday Night against the Falcons. Going to have to do dialysis on Christmas Eve after driving back home all night. Going to feel horrible Christmas day, but it'll all be worth it when the Falcons miss the playoffs because of the Niners :D
