Sorry, but I just don't trust the veracity of the Chinese government --whether it be a university or not.

This work is going on all over the world.

If they were going to lie, I'd expect something a lot more spectacular than "We made a teeny-weeny little one that seems to work in a test tube and many, many years from now we might have something usable."
