hi everyone,
just recently found this message board.
it was very inspiring and helpful to read about your experiences and i really commend everyone for being so strong and positive, and taking the time to share their experiences.
my mother, who is now in her 60s, has been on manual PD for around 10 yrs, and ~4 occurrence of peritonitis (one of which is ongoing).
i am not exactly the main caregiver since my mother pretty much does everything on her own (she doesn't like to bother us). but when she is not feeling well, my siblings and i take turns checking up on her/taking care of her.
sorry, it may not be much of an intro ... but i hope it is enough :)

Welcome. Information is so very important not only for the one who has kidney disorder, but especially for the family to know and appreciate what their loved one is going through.
And I particularly like this forum because we get to know each other. If there is a question or a doubt, someone knows the answer or can offer reassurance. Someone on this forum has been there, done that. again. welcome.

thank you for the warm welcome. :)

Hi h12 and welcome to IHD. You obviously want to become more involved in your Mom's life to seek knowledge about her life on dialysis.
She is blessed to have a daughter like you. If you have a question try the search and if you can't find it ask away. That is what we are here for.
I'm so glad you found us.
