Title: working from home
Post by: stuman413 on July 22, 2013, 03:34:02 PM
I recently applied for a job that would allow me to work at home doing computer support.  I have been contacted by the company and they want to setup an interview.  Can anyone help me to get around the issue of being on dialysis?  I'm afraid that if I mention that my schedule is limited they are going to ask why.  What should I say in that situation?   Also there is a three year work gap on my resume, how do I get around that issue should it come up?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I would just tell the truth.... that is why you are a good catch.... you are flexible.  All but the time you are at the center or whatever.

Then they will be more understanding when you have to go get a fistulagram or other stupid things we need to stay alive.

I have a little job from home and my boss knows my situation.  It works out.

Good Luck!   :waving;

Thanks, I've always felt that honesty was the best policy in these situations, but so many people (not kidney patients) told me otherwise, that I had to hide it from them until I was hired.

Well anyways thats what I'm gonna do.

Thanks again   :clap;
