So I got personalized plates for my corvette show car. I got the organ donor plates wit 04Z06 ( the year and type of my car). I also got a bunch of hand out information on donating organs to give out at the shows. I'm hoping to do a little to raise awareness!! Maybe I'll find a match!! LOL. But I think it's a GREAT thing for Florida to do offer these plates. This is what the plate looks like. I like the bright colors it really stands out on my all back car!!

:2thumbsup;
I got mine here in Michigan, with 2SPARE for my 2 spare parts. ;)

Very nice! I'll have to check and see if Illinois has donor plates!

Very cool.. in my province, they only give out one plate, for the back of the car, so the front usually has some kind of novelty plate.. we had a "Be an Organ Donor" plate on the front of our car for years

We don't have them yet, but coming soon.
"Donate Life California also announced a new specialty license plate initiative with official sponsorship from the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Proceeds from the license plates will help fund Donate Life California’s mission to save more lives and increase awareness of organ and tissue donation."

Here in Colorado we have the "Donate Life" plates. I have them on all the cars and both motorcycles. They are considered a specialty plate, but can not be personalized. Look cool and get the message out.

I have always specified "Organ Donor" on my drivers license but have given thought of removing it since the only people that receive and keep transplants are celebrities, politically connected, rich or have a good job with benefits. As for the rest of you ... eat cake.
I hate to be so negative but I had to remove myself from the list because of the cost of the immunosuppressive drugs
where after three years, you are fully responsible for the cost.
It does not make sense when paying for the transplant drugs is three times less expensive that the cost of dialysis except for the fact that the dialysis industry profits from the dialysis treatments. That is why the big dialysis centers Davita and Fresenious lobbied against the Comprehensive Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage for Kidney Transplant Act.
