Title: Avoid tugs on your exit site
Post by: Whamo on May 24, 2013, 10:34:47 PM
I find it helpful to hold my line and maintain some slack to avoid tugs on the exit site when I move around.  Those tugs can really hurt.

Putting in the Velcro tab on my shirt works just as well.  But I usually coil it in my hand 'cause it seems to jump in between my toes when I don't.  Go figger, eh?   :cheer:

I use an intensive care line clip that holds my dialysis catheter to my body securely.
Have to change it every 2 weeks but works better than stitches and takes up the slack.

I make a gauze bracelet and tape the lines to that.
