We've been in training for home hemo about 2 months now. Not because we are not learning but because we are still trying to convince the center we should get a chair from them. Anywho, since starting the home hemo schedule, my husband has been peeing up a storm, to the point that he's running for the restroom everywhere we go. Is this normal?

It's not clear to me from your posting whether your husband is actually on home hemo or still in training. Perhaps you can clarify.
At any rate, my urination changes with the amount of PD I am doing. For example, if I am traveling and not getting in quite as much dialysis as I need, what's left of my kidneys will actually produce a bit more water. I say water because I do not believe there is much toxin filtration going on. I go through times when I urinate daily, or some times when it occurs every few days.
I've been on PD for almost 4 years, so I notice patterns and changes quite readily.
Good luck!

As like tito, I too notice a difference in urination depending on the treatment.
As for his treatment, my thought is that his center was drying him out too much. It happened with me. During in-center, I was urinating 200-250ml a day. When I switched to CAPD, that jumped to around 500-600ml and on the cycler I do 800-1000ml a day. I can't explain the differences between CAPD/CCPD since I do the same UF for both ???
