I wanted to take a minute to post something positive! I completed my first week at home and I feel great! Button holes are working well, labs are good and we are getting into a routine that fits our busy schedules. I cannot begin to explain how much better I feel both mentally and physically. Thanks to everyone on this site for your help and taking the time to reassure me in my panicky moments! Fingers crossed for continued smooth sailing. For anyone considering switching to home hemo, my advice is to go for it. All of the things that seemed so overwhelming to me have turned out to be very doable, especially self cannulating. I am by no means an expert, but please PM me if you want to ask any questions about my experience. Thanks again for the support! :yahoo;

I want to thank you for posting this, angiepkd! As jbeany posted on another thread, most people are too busy enjoying life to take the time to post something positive on this site (which is a good thing!), so it is very reassuring to the rest of us when we read about such good news. I'm so glad home hemo is fitting well into your life. You should be proud to have achieved so much!
