I would like to start taking 2 & 3 week road trips. My questions is do I try to put all my solution for Baxter machine in the car or is it possible to pick some up along the way???? We are not visiting any friends or relatives, just sightseeing. Any suggestions Thank you in advance.

You can arrange with Baxter to have them drop ship your solutions to specific spots along your way. They typically want 8 weeks notice for a delivery, so plan accordingly. I have used this service twice with them, once for a Disney vacation and a second time when we went a visited my sister in the wilds of Idaho. Both times all my supplies were delivered on time and where I needed them to be.
Have fun!

I believe Baxter only needs 2 weeks notice for places within US. I have had my supplies shipped to a hotel a few days in advance of my arrival. Called the hotel, and they had no problems keeping them until I arrived.

I also have questions about Baxter shipping to multiple locations. I get solution delivered to my place in Mexico quite successfully. I am usually there for two weeks at a time, and have extra solution delivered to put into storage.
However, I would like to go to Israel, and drive around the country. We have friends in various locations. Can I get Baxter to deliver to multiple locations? It is certainly too hot to put the solution in the car and drive around.

My Dialysis team told me to give them 8 weeks regardless of where I was going. Baxter has told me 2 for domestic deliveries, but I'm anal retentive enough, I like to get things done early and be sure they are taken care of. It helps me sleep better at night.

When I went on car trips I just took it. But if the solution will spend many days in the car at really high or low temps you may want to try for some delivery.

I got the chance to go on an wonderful trip to Prague and the Czech Republic at the end of May. I lined up Baxter delivery to our hotel in Prague, the Mandarin Oriental. This will be our base, with trips to a glass making town and to the concentration camp at Terezin. This is the purpose of the trip - it is through the Terezin Music Foundation, which is bringing back the music of composers imprisoned and killed at Terezin. It also coincides with the Prague Spring Festival. Traveling with us is the pianist Garrick Olson. We know someone who was an inmate at Terezin.
Baxter is doing a good job at getting this set up. The delivery price is certainly more reasonable than when I have solution delivered in México. I think my doctor would rather I stayed here, but he is resigned to all my traveling (he's German and has been to Prague - said it was beautiful!). Traveling is my life, and it gives me something to look forward to, which is so important for my mental state. So, who's to say what is more important?

If you can go, then GO. The feeling that you can travel is worth all the scheduling of the trip you have do to make it happen.
