Hi guys. I want to start drinking whey protein shakes to get my protein up, and to lose somee weight for transplant (eventually). Any suggestions on brands, or ones you like best?

I use "New Whey Liquid Protein" It's 3.8 fluid oz per tube and 42g of protein and 180 Calories. It tastes kinda awful but it's sooo worth it just to get that much protein in at one time. I'm sick of meat pretty much now days. I buy the grape flavor but they do come in other flavors. You can get it at Walmart. There is also another brand of liquid shots by Body Fortress but it has a lot less protein in it. Another kewl thing is you can take your binders with it instead of using water.

I had gastric sleeve surgery to help with the weight loss for a transplant. My dietitian at the clinic told me to use Body Fortress from Walmart. The vanilla flavor has the lowest phosphorus and potassium and has 42g of protein per scoop.

Very interesting. I got some Nephro, but I don't like it. It's too many calories.

John takes 2scoops Whey with 1 bottle of Boost once a week. Total Protein 62g. All choclate! Boost also gives him some essential Vit. & Min., but the protein is why he takes it.

Thanks everyone! I will look into these!
I don't need gastric or anything. I'm overweight but not so bad that I need surgery for it. I figure that by watching my calories and upping my protein will help. I also just got cleared for light exercise! :)
