I am in the process of switching to extended/nocturnal. I would rather do true extended rather that runs through the night rather than just four to six hours. For those of you already doing it, how long do you run for, how many nights and what volume is prescribed? I want to try and get a feel for what people do so that I can talk to my neph. About it.

Just saw this, sorry. :)
We do Nocturnal. Every other night. So our Rx is technically 3.5 days per week.
We run at a pump speed of 290. 50 L of fluid. Depending on how much fluid we are pulling each night, we run anywhere from 7.5 - 9 hours.
We begin with a bolus of 2500 of Heparin, and we dose .66 per hour stopping an hour before treatment ends.
Hubby is 136 kilos, so he's a big guy. Not sure what difference that might or might not make for you.
