Hey everyone,
"Penguin" here! I haven't been on here forever :oops; because I've been busy writing a book (actually a series of ten or twelve short books) about this mess of a disease!
Today is my 2 and a half year kidney transplant anniversary :yahoo; but I can't help but feel the need to advocate for everyone affected by kidney disease... pre-dialysis, dialysis, transplant, and so on. Too few people understand it, and I want to help change that!
I was diagnosed with FSGS over five years ago as a sixteen-year-old in high school... ever since, I've felt like I'm on a never-ending adventure! Based on my story (although changed up quite a bit and infused with a lot of 'imagination'- you'll see what I mean if you read it), it's targeted toward teenagers and young adults, but I'm hoping it helps others, too.
The link to it is http://www.lulu.com/shop/hannah-reimers/the-pfa-part-one-stories/ebook/product-20591309.html (I haven't read the rules to this site for a while, so if I'm not supposed to link like that, I'm sorry! Please let me know!)
Hoping to help punch :boxing; the stigma and misunderstanding of CKF out of the world!
Hannah :)
