Title: Bf on dialysis
Post by: girlgeek on October 16, 2012, 02:21:49 PM
A little about me:
I'm a card reader in Cali, it's not what I would have pick as a career, but it's been a hoot.

In June Frank, my bf, and I went to the ER, he had a pain in his side.  He was admitted with bp of 300/220 and very little kidney function.  Frank is taking everything extremely well, and me? Well, lets just say I'm a smidge high-strung. Frankie and I have been together 9 years, so it's not like I'm going to bail. He's on ICH 3x a week and today he's going to talk to the doc about ccpd.

I've been lurking since June, so I figured it was time to join and make an introduction. :D

Welcome girlgeek! Glad you found us. Sorry to hear about your bf. The boyfriend and I had a similar story in February of last year - he kept throwing up and having a fever. Once his eyesight started going weird, we went to the ER and got the bad kidney news. He's only in his 20's so it has been surreal at times.

In general, I'd say that I'm nore laid back than my bf, but as things happen, we tend to trade places! Hang in there!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I've been lurking for quite awhile so I already love it here.  It's nice to have a place where I don't have to be sunny and positive all the time.
