Forgive my English but I aint having a good year had prostate cancer in 2011 and went on the D march of this year my question is how long do I have to wait to get a transplant with a twin and 2 healthy brothers a living donor is a big possibility

I think my center requires that you be cancer free for 5 years before they will put you on the drugs and do the transplant. I also think that every center is different. Check with your local.

I've also heard five years as a general rule, but like coravh said, maybe it is different depending upon the center and maybe even the kind of cancer you had.
-
I was told 2 years by every center I visited, but that was in the event of a positive PAP test, so I think it may depend on the type of cancer.

I'm looking for someone to jack-up my head and drive a new body under it. My exhaust pipes still work (since radiation), about six times a day.

Everything I've heard was 5 years as well, but not sure if that changes with a living donor.

I got a transplant just 3 months after being deemed cancer free. Best of luck to you!
