I am fed up - just saying
-
With what part in particular? I've felt that way myself, a lot
-
Brenda - It gets us all.
You need to treat yourself to a movie or a walk on the beach or something. Leave Laurie at home (with a son) for an hour or so, and let the brain refresh.
I trust Laurie is improving. Ed and Yuki send him another purr!

Brenda, I'm also fed up. I think every thing is getting me down, I can not see any light at the end of the tunnel. I am fed up having to do every thing, I feel like running away, do you want to run with me? Its funny I am the carer my husband should be the one to feel fed up. Its one of those days when I want to screammmmmmmmmmmmm The weather in the UK is terrible, all we are getting is constant rain and winds week in week out, no sunshine, I need sunshine. OK that is me finished moaning. Back to the ciggies and the wine.

I tend to feed myself when I get fed up. Want some 5 minute recipes for fattening stuff?
:cuddle;

Who needs a recipie when there is chocolate frosting in a can!
-
Because a 5 minute recipe that makes a Reese's peanut cup the size of a pie sounds better to me! ;D
-
That does sound delicious! I'll be over in 10 min for some, you should have time to make 2, right? :)
But seriously I really think we all get fed up. Just need to take it one day at a time.

Sounds like someone's been reading Pimp That Snack. I discovered it several years ago in the midst of an obsessive Tunnocks Tea Cakes craving. However, laziness won out and I've never attempted any of them. Love their titles though - Jaffa Cake of Justice being a favourite.

"Pimp That Snack"....LOL!

I know, right? Would you believe it used to be Pimp My Snack but monstrous Viacom threatened to sue them over the Pimp My usage, then when the site owners changed the name Viacom said this was an admission of guilt?
This is just a silly bit of fun for them and they have to deal with that bollocks. Viacom, I shake my fist at you!

Add me to the fed up train. And the fattening snack convoy. The inactivity and tedium, coupled with resentment, are making me crazy. I'm glad I dodn't know anything about "Pimp That Snack" or I'd have gained even more weight than I have over the last 6 months! Right now I'm fighting sugar cravings in order to drop a few pounds. It isn't pretty. I am a junkie.
Hi. My name is Tracy and I am a sugar-holic.
I have hopes of getting a job next week and need to be able to get into my work clothes. But I'm not even sure that's enough incentive to get me to give up the cookies and ice cream. :banghead;

Chocolate fudge frosting in a can - my favorite guilty pleasure! Reese's peanut butter cup, (mm-mm!) In 5 minutes? Sign me up! :2thumbsup;

Well that cheered me up ! Thanks guys . Yes I do feel like running away billybags but I know I can't . Actually I have an elderly aunty who is begging me to go and see her one last time before she dies , she will pay all expenses . I was born in the UK and came to Australia when I was 12 , I have never been home and would dearly love to go but it is not possible . My Aunty has been to visit us several times but is now too frail at almost 90 . My Mum ( they were sisters ) passed away 2 years ago and she has been wanting me to go ever since .
I am just a bit down in the dumps at the moment and can't show it so I was just having a whinge here . Laurie is not really getting any better and so HE of course is fed up and can be quite petulant at times . I can usually deal with it all but sometimes .........
Trust me I do not need any fattening ideas , I am fat enough . Laurie's favourite nickname for me is 5 by 5 - I am 5 foot tall and the rest you can figure out for yourselves . Lucky I have a sense of humour . I am looking fatter than usual at present as I have a condition called angiodema and the only cause they can find for it in my case is stress . My face is swollen and throat so I resemble a bull frog . Sometimes my throat and tongue swell so I can't breathe and end up at A & E - luckily not this time .
Thanks for the giggles - I feel better already !

I don't know if all the HHD nurses do this, but ours does respite treatments for caregivers when they need a break. She'll have the patient come in to see her for a few days and give their partner a break so they can get out of town for awhile, or whatever. I suspect it's just her personal policy, because she takes a real interest in everyone she's trained (she's amazing). But it might not hurt to ask your nurse. I'm assuming you do home hemo??

we've all been on that 'ride' and it's so hard.... we're sort of sailing along right now, BUT.................. i thinbk i NEED that 5 min recee penutbutter cup recepie??????? how about it

I have no idea what a Reese's peanut cup is, but it sounds frighteningly fattening. I would ask you to chuck one in this direction, but I've already been very naughty this week and I think that's contributed to my own fed-upped-ness and general lethargy. Four day weekend full of fresh veg and salad, here I come ...
;D
