My parents are here visiting. Mom mentioned that my brother-in-law is being tested as a donor. This is the first I'd heard this. My sister didn't mention that her husband was considering offering to donate and I never talk to my brother-in-law myself, just to my sister. It sounded like he'd already contacted the donor coordinator the way she phrased it "he's being tested." He has ulcerative colitis. I'm not sure if that will rule him out or not. Just the fact that he'd make such a sincere offer is touching, especially since he's doing it without my knowledge - he isn't doing it for drama.

He sounds like a nice guy. Probably didn't want to get your hopes up if he doesn't qualify. Who knows? Maybe he will. Either way it was really great for him to try.

My brother-in-law is that kind of guy too. If it would make my sister's life better, he'd do anything. He was the one who took care of me every day when I was staying with them after the transplant. Lately, he's been giving me a lot of help and advice on my house. It's good to have sisters with great taste in men, isn't it? ;)
