On Thurs around 1 pm I started feeling nauseated, at 10 pm started throwing up. After 5 hours gave up and went to hospital. They gave me an NG tube and a foley catheter. I got fluids, electrolytes and lots of IV antibiotics. I'm now eating some liquids. But the real problem is my IV stopped working and they can't get a new one. I had 7 failed sticks, 2 from IV team. I told them Fri morning we'd need a pic line but who listens to me? No one knows what is wrong with me. I hate this whole thing.

im so sorry to hear all this. It's bad enough when things are going "right" HA.... but it's all the extras that go along with it that really bring us down. I hope they get a hold on it and fix ya up real soon to make your hospital visit productive. Sending :grouphug; and prayers...

Thanks for the good wishes.
I'm home now. They did not find out what was wrong with me. I'm feeling better. The docs are saying it was probably a virus but we won't know which one. My immunosuppressants have been adjusted. I got lots of broad spectrum antibiotics in the hospital and came home on flagyl just in case even though the c diff test was negative. It's frustrating getting past these bumps in the road after transplant.

I'm glad to hear you are back home. How many months post transplant are you?

I'm only 2 months out from my second transplant. I've had a number of infections in the past and I was worried.
