Title: AWAK Automatic Wearable Artificial Kidney
Post by: komomai on May 16, 2012, 04:06:14 PM
I'm been doing PD now for about 1 1/2 years with Baxter.  I've seen this posted before and it looks interesting.  I called them in Singapore an got on their mailing list as well as this response.

"Thank you for your interest with AWAK. We are currently at pilot production stage to prepare for the first in human trial in Singapore (Singapore General Hospital) at the end of the year and in US (DaVita clinical research) by 2013. We have to outsource the clinical trial to an independent centre in which they will randomly choose patients from their centre to conduct the trial. We can’t get involve or interfere with the trial as the result might be bias.

I have attached Nov and Jan newsletters for your information. I also included your email into our mailing list for future updates. If you have more questions, feel free to email me".

I've included one of their pamphlets.  I've mentioned this to my doctor here on Okinawa, and he has seen it at a convention that he attended in the US.  I told him I want one. :clap;
