DaVita Affirms 2006 Guidance of $690M to $700M in Operating Income

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) -- Da Vita Inc., which operates kidney dialysis centers, on Friday affirmed its 2006 guidance in operating income.

The company expects to report $690 million to $700 million in operating income for the year, excluding gains related to its agreement with Gambro Renal Products Inc. DaVita posted $465 million in operating income in 2005.

Shares of DaVita added 10 cents to $55 in afternoon trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

What is "operating income"?   Net?

Yes before expenses.

Net Profit would be after expenses.

So, who knows what they actually made.  That is what I'm interested in.  What was their NET in 2006.

Big companies have Big bills.  It is not all profit.
