Hi everyone, stumbled across IHD sometime ago. set up my account so i could post. have end stage renal failure, currntly on CAPD in mansfield, Nottinhamshire England (Its where Robin Hood lived) had a kidney transplant in 2006 but this failed, was rejecting almost immediatly. hope when i post all you septic tanks will be able to understand my lingo x :2thumbsup;

Welcome, Mitch! Loads of Brits on here, so we have access to skilled interpreters should the need arise.
I live with a Brit, married him in fact. He is not English, though, and this distinction is enormously important to him, especially now that his country has gone and won the Big Deal Rugby Something.

Welcome, Mitch. I'm married to a Geordie...from New Castle-on-Tyne. And if you can understand a Geordie, you can understand anyone!
We have a cousin in Loughbrough,(I think that is how it's spelled).
When house plumbing is not hooked up to a sewer line, the "flush" goes into a septic tank which has to be pumped out at regular intervals.

Wow thanks for the welcomes. just looking back over the posts. Renal wife i work in construction (office based now) and once had an american ask for directions to "loogabarooga" took us ages to work out he was looking for loughborough and had only ever seen it written down :rofl;
