I'm going to start a new game I guess you can call it. Can you describe yourself in one word? I want to get to know you guys better and this mite help. So give your word and if you like your reasons why you picked that word. Mine is....
aDORKable
I saw this word to describe the girl from the TV show New Girl on the FOX channel. It fit me perfectly!!
Definition: Someone not afraid to be themselves and are usually very sweet, smart, cute, silly and have the best sense of humor once you get to know them.
-
haha i like that word.
um, i guess ill go with......................

Well I do like "dork" or nerd girls ....
... but I hate that show new girl!!! I lasted 3 episodes before I decided this sucks. Much prefer 2 broke girls.
but anyway....
my word? oh I could do so many, and many others I am sure have a lot of words for me.. lol
so anyway.... the first word that comes to mind..
FRISKY
hahaha

HUNKY

Can I claim BLONDE?
(Wanted to lie and choose intelligent, or classy, or thoughful, or quiet but we all know blondes don't lie well :) )
-
I guess I would have to pick ....
.... dependable
I've taken a zillion personality tests for work and this word always comes up at the top.
Not sure if I like it or not....it carries a lot of responsibility that I don't always want.
-
Limin'
(with the avatar go figure!)
-
@gothiclovemonkey I glad you like my word. ;D I'm a little curious too, that's how I found this site.
@RichardMEL I actually like the show cuz I'm kind like the main girl..I'm just sweet and at times completely clueless. Your word cracked me up! I'm going to have to watch out for you. JK :rofl;
@galvo you got it! lol
@chook Sure you can have blonde but I see it as a good thing cuz blondes do have more fun! :)
@cattlekid I think its a good word and it great to know people can count on you.
@conchman I saw the movie Avatar but I don't remember that. What does that mean?
-
My word is....
Amy
Watch "Big Bang Theory"
-
Deanne: Love BB Theory (Always have BBT and pizza every Thursday)
deniferer: My picture (aka:avatar) is a conch shell (very Caribbean and very, very, very tasty, tho it's really in the sauce) so limin' means laid back, island style!

Creative... I'm very artsy I love to paint and draw.
Is it wrong that I'm friends with and went to High School with Lamorne Morris (Winston), and I don't watch "New Girl"?? I haven't told him LOL. :oops;
I love BBT though, I'm totally in love with Sheldon :) :-* I guess I'm a nerd at heart too!
-
Deanne I'm defiantly going to need to check out the Big Bang Theory to find out who or what is Amy. ;D
conchman Oh that avatar, (blushing) See I can be completely clueless at times. :rofl;. I love the Caribbean its so beautiful and I the music!
lmunchkin Ok cool
Annig83 Thats really awesome you can paint and draw. My creative side is only when I decorate rooms. And you know Lamorne? Wow, nice..Hey if you still talk with him let him know I really do enjoy the show. One day I want to actually meet Zooey Deschanel, (Jess). I just think she is funny and kinda has a neat personality when I see her on talk shows. But I dream big! :).

dparham75 I still got to watch that show and I think that is really sweet that you wife is your hero.
Poppylicious Really? but ok... :laugh:
-
Chris Well I know do if your having a bad day!
No bad day needed for me! 10 lbs chocolate bar did not last a week.
However I bought Godiva today and just can't eat any of it due to nauciousness.
So another description of me is
COFFEEHOLIC!
-
Chris 10 lbs of chocolate! DANG!! And judging by you all caps you have not not had your coffee for the day. :rofl;. As for me I love chocolate too but not coffee. I get my caffeine with Dr pepper!
-
Chris 10 lbs of chocolate! DANG!! And judging by you all caps you have not not had your coffee for the day. :rofl; . As for me I love chocolate too but not coffee. I get my caffeine with Dr pepper!
I can't have caffiene and when I did because no other choice in drink, it was bad, bad, bad feeling. My transplant center has me only drinking decaf products with their reasoning that caffeine raises blood pressure and constricts blood vessels and they want the pancreas to last, not to mention kidney. I have been a coffeeholic since I was a kid, longer than chocolate. Bought a Keurig with a gift card, just haven't taken it out of my trunk yet due to being to worn down by the time I get home. Also have espresso machine and a regular coffee maker. ;D

Gerald Lively I'm going to make sure not to get on your bad side. :)
renalwife yeah I know that feeling, then I end up on the computer to waste time. hahaha

Dependable and clumsy!!! (and I'm blonde too!!)
-
del I'm clumsy too, I have actually fallen in the middle of the street and Idk how! But I saw a post somewhere that said it takes really skill to trip and fall on a flat surface. So I guess i have skills!! :2thumbsup; :rofl;
-
Loved catching up on this thread. Very informative.
After reading YLGuy's word "Dad", I want to add 'Granma!' to 'blonde'. Having just called myself a blonde granma, I want to boast that I took the two grandies, aged 2 and 4, in the pram for a walk and took my daughter's dog as well. And the pram was in three parts and I put it together!!!
-
Pram? What is that chook?
-
Chook I'm so glad you like my thread! That really made my day seeing that! ;D. I think title blonde grandma is pretty cool. lol.
Well I guess I can add sister, aunt, and babysitter to my list. All I'm very proud of! I'm the oldest sister to 3 sisters and 3 brothers, my sister just had a little boy, in fact he is 6 months today! I love him! The best thing about being a aunt is its like being a grandparent, I get all the joy of spoiling but didn't have to do any of the work of having my own kids! :laugh: Also I babysit my cousin, she is 3, I love being able to have her come stay with me for a few days at a time and I watch her. She calls me her Jenn, Its too funny!
and I'm with Chris, what is a pram?
-
Ahhh, people who know me say I'm a smart :sir ken; :rofl; :rofl;
-
Happy!!
-
WOW Chris wow!!! :rofl; It took me a min to get what you were saying but then it clicked LOL. Its OK I can be a really smart arse too! Its so much fun! :rofl;
Animal Ok :thumbup;
-
I am a man of few words, well the rest is in pictures :rofl;
Today's secret password is.... Medicated! (but who isn't described by that?)
-
Contrarian!
-
Chris I see your a man of few words but what is the pharse? A pic is worth a 1000 words but a little yellow tush that moons you..priceless! JK :rofl;
Yeah I got the secret word covered too! Oh my gosh that cracked me up reading that!! Idk why it just did. LOL
Gandalf I had to look up that word but ok I got ya!
-
Pram? What is that chook?
Chris, it's a contraption in which you put babies so that you can take them out for walks! Otherwise known as a buggy or pushchair. Sheesh, you foreign folk ...

I’m not a doctor but I play one now and then.
My ancestors on the Lively side were plagued with arthritis. Back in 1970 I started to lift weights. I didn’t really know what I was doing. During a one day training session I was told that circulation in the legs is so important, especially when we grow old and decide to sit. So, I jumped around, did squats with the limited weight set I had and it did make my legs feel better.
Off and on again training and I emphasized leg training. After my third bout with cancer I got serious (about 64/65 years of age) about full body training. My investment in leg exercises seemed to pay off when I got under the bar with 420 lbs on it. It didn’t seem amazing to me but it did shake up the Powerlifting Competition circuit. Old guys don’t do that – baloney.
Even if all you ever did was free standing squats (no weights) and only went half-way down, your knees will thank you. The further down you squat the more you involved the hamstrings and gluts (butt).
I have been sitting or laying down next to a dialysis machine since early 2008. My legs were aching. Once I was able to crawl from beneath that mind numbing fatigue that came with kidney failure, I began doing free standing squats. Better, much better. The whole idea is to improve circulation and you do that by making the muscles work a little. If you can move your knees, try it. Just do one set and work your way up to 20. Your legs will love you.
I have arthritis in my wrist and hands. Squats didn’t help. Bench presses did wipe out my shoulder pain.
