I had an ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound today, the second set of tests in a few months. My CAT scans show some kind of tumor on the pancreas. I am probably going to need a Whipple surgery where they remove the head of the pancreas, part of the small intestine, the gall bladder, part of the stomach, and lymph nodes near the head of the pancreas. If I need the surgery, I am going to Johns Hopkins for it because they are the best for this kind of procedure.
For the record, I am sick and tired of cancer.
Cancer sucks.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that Mikey, will ask my dad for prayers for you. Keep strong etc. Yes it sucks,

I hope they're wrong. That is so tough. Hang in there. Be kind to yourself.

Mikey, if this ends up being cancer, I hope you are able to act swiftly to fight it. I wish you all the best and hope to hear about your recovery soon.

The GI specialist I am seeing has referred me to the surgeon. He believes that based on what he saw in the recent testing and my history, that I the masses seen are most likely cancer. I have sent my medical records to the surgeon and are waiting for a callback to see the surgeon.
-
Sorry to hear mikey. Hope callback comes soon.

Crap.

Just a quick update. I saw a surgeon in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital last week. He has dedicated his life to the Whipple surgery. Because the growths on the pancreas have not been proven to be cancer, I need more tests. I need to confirm cancer or not cancer. So far, tests are inconclusive. I am meeting a second opinion doc next week.
So as of now, I know nothing.
I will keep you posted...

Thanks for the update, Mikey. We are praying for you!
