Title: labs were good dispiteing my depression
Post by: sullidog on March 03, 2012, 08:14:28 PM
Well I'm happy to report this month's labs where good despite my depression and eating basically what ever I wanted in february. They were:
albumen 4.4
Cal 9.5
potassium 4.4
phos 5.1
hg 12.0
I was expecting a lot worse but glad they weren't! however I'm not going to gamble on doing that again.

Glad to hear you're okay, sullidog.  Hang in there.  All the best to you...

Sulli, so pleased your labs are good. Some times I think it does you good to say "sod it" and do your own thing for a couple of weeks, it makes you feel like you are in control for a while. My husband has lost an awful lot of weight and the dietitian says he can eat what ever he likes. They don't want him malnourished, he is eating little and often, foods that he has been careful to avoid. His bloods are also OK. Question: do we really need to stick to a renal regime? That's a pointed question is it not.

I think we should sometimes, but you do have a point.

I know a guy on hemo who doesn't follow any of the rules. Eats and drinks anything. It doesn't seem to make any difference. Makes me wonder why I try to behave.
