I think I've developed leaky eye syndrome lately. I can't seem to watch shows on tv lately without crying. Even watching stuff like Dog Town and the Waltons cause tears... What's up with that? anyone else have that problem?

I was like that when I started dialysis. Commercials would make me cry. Sometimes I couldn't even talk to someone without tearing up. I talked to my Primary care physician and she gave me a med for depression. That has really helped me.

Oh yes, even a song would do that to me. Even having so much as a slight disagreement with somebody would reduce me to tears.

Makes me think about when I was pregnant, and it was obvuously the copious hormones but I couldn't get enough of Baby Story. That wou,d set me off with 'leaky eyes'. Now I cannot bear to watch that program! :rofl;

Sounds like depression to me too. Most times, a very mild anti depressant will do the trick for you, and not make you feel all wonky along with it. Ask your Dr.

I cry at anything and everything. Most embarrassing! However, I've always been like this; if it's concerning you I'd see your GP. If it isn't, just go with the flow ...
;D

I'm pretty sure it's due to stress but I don't feel it's of concern. It kinda cracks me up when I do it over stupid shows on TV, even those commercials for adopting rescue animals brings on major water works.
The stress I'm under will be over sometime this year so that should help. Just glad I'm not alone in this "leaky eye" thing

Consider yourself lucky. Every tear you shed is one less drop you have to draw out of your body during dialysis. And "Dogtown" was a tear-jerker. I got to hang out with some of Dogtown boys at my surfing buddy's apartment back in the 70's (he was a professional skater), and party down. I knew that guy that died in the pool. The day after our party session, another guy in that crew died skating pipeline in Ontario. He got a wobble on a 15 foot ramp, fell, and hit his head, dead. Life is stranger than fiction.
