Title: Not Sure is This Qualifies as Severe but it's been ongoing...
Post by: Krisna on February 15, 2012, 03:32:15 AM
And it's really starting to annoy me!  I have had fingernail and toenail fungus for many years now.  None of the over the counter things work for the long term.  All the doctors ever say is there is nothing oral they can safely give me!  It has now begun spreading to the skin around my fingers.  So, my skin is damaged and peeling.  No amount of lotion or hand cream helps.  And as I said I've tried the fungal creams and liquids and they help temporarily.

Anyone know some sort of home remedy I could try?  I'm desperate!

That sounds horrible, it is obviously a fungal virus. I did read that tee tree oil is good.

I soaked my fingernail ( finger I mean) in hydrogen peroxide. Boy, the fungus fought like a maniac, had blisters all over my finger, but when the blisters healed up, the fungus appeared to be dead. The nail is slowly, very slowly, growing.

I put Vicks Vaporub on my toenail fungus and then put socks on. Seems to help. Can't hurt.

I heard soaking your feet in listerine will kill it
