Title: Johns Hopkins or Cleveland Clinic
Post by: dstevens on January 27, 2012, 09:36:44 AM
Has anyone had any experiences at either Johns Hopkins or the Cleveland Clinic they'd like to share? I'm looking into both for a transplant and was wondering how they treated people. I had a really bad experience in Pittsburgh and was looking into other centers. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks so much!

dstevens, just wondering, what happened in Pgh? I had a transplant at UPMC Montifiore, was that where you were? ( I apologize if this question is too personal, I'm just curious)

Not too personal at all Sparklelady. I actually posted my whole story in the post right above this one (I think). It's titled "Denied a transplant without dialysis". It's pretty lengthy though just to forwarn you. I did have my transplant at Montifiore and it was an awful experience.

My husband received his kidney at Johns Hopkins and we had the best experience.

We have our nephrologist's email and home phone number.
