I am the mother of a 39 year old childhood cancer survivor. Leukemia @ 4, marrow transplant @ 9 and then one "adventure" after another as she keeps trucking along. Apparently total body radiation is a double sided sword - stroke 4 years ago and now kidney failure looming. I have been creeping @ IHD and like the straight talk. Thanks for being here.

My daughter has a narrow spot in her fistula that they are going to fix next week. Still hanging in there without symptoms, so hopefully it will be ready when she needs it. Apparently they put a balloon in there and expand it, deflate and take it out and the vein/artery stays open. Does this work the first time?? Thanks in advance for advice.
