This is a tragic situation of what is going on at Penn State! Those poor victims at the hand of this one man! So sad!
My prayers go out to all of those who suffered the abuse and the family's who surround them!
It is not about football as the media would have it, it is about Innocents Lost!

And about some folks thinking that it is more important to "carry on" than stand up for what is right.
I, too, feel for the victims.

I haven't seen where any young men have stood up to say they were victimized. Is this whole thing going to be anonymous? That doesn't seem right. Just accusations? Of course my mind goes right to "shoot the bastards" but where are the ones accusing him? I can't imagine other men standing around allowing this.
Innocent until proven guilty?? :waiting;

Sandusky hasn't denied the accusations. No one has denied that boys were abused. What is being decided through legal channels is whether or not certain people broke the law in not notifying police or in committing perjury.
It's hard for anyone to imagine other men standing around allowing this, but that seems to be exactly what has happened, hence the outcry.

Rerun, the media rarely identifies victims - it's standard practice. That doesn't mean the abused children (regardless of their present age) haven't been making statements to the police.
The fuss with the head coach, Paterno, is about whether he broke the law that makes educators "mandatory reporters," and whether he was obligated to do more than report it to his superiors when it became obvious that they were not taking action. Unfortunately, the law is probably going to hold that he didn't have any further legal obligation. The moral obligation is another thing. If anything, he's been fired because of his failure to do the morally correct thing. Rioting college football fans aside, it was NOT about football, and kudos to the university trustees for understanding that.
