Title: Pace maker for the stomach?
Post by: Auntie G on August 31, 2011, 11:07:05 AM
Ok I have a question and I hope someone can help. My nephew David has been hospitalized off and on for months. He can nor keep food water or medication down. He was told he needed a pace maker for his stomach?  Weird I know they do exist but r used for weight loss. He has lost so much weight already. But willing to try anything to stop the vomiting. Any thoughts?

I found this link that explains it for other than weight loss.      http://www.ivillage.com/gastric-pacemaker-offers-hope-those-stomach-disorders/4-a-130053

Hopefully if he could stop vomiting he could gain some weight by keeping food down.  I don't know of anyone who's had this done, but someone else here might.

Thanks for the web site it helped me feel better about it.  At least it's not just for weight loss.  Thanks again. I love having this form and all the support I feel is great!
