What specific questions do you have?  I had a hysterectomy almost 3 years ago, and I've been on the transplant waiting list a year now, so maybe I can answer some of your questions?  I'll certainly try!

Oh my, I have really missed something here. Where were the cells found, if you don't mind my asking? A hysterectomy sounds a bit extreme for precancerous cells, which I have always been told may never develop into cancer, but I can see why you would just want to have done with this. How stressful. I am so sorry.  :grouphug;

u are correct, the usually wait to see what happens... but since ive been having other issues, and its most likely caused by my birth control, an iud, i have to have the iud removed...
anywho, because of all my other issues, and getting pregnant would be very bad idea, then i asked the doctor if he would even consider doing the whole thing, instead of waiting, because im tired of the problems, and i dont want to wait and end up actually having cancer...
that would suck! it runs in the family as well
sooo he agreed to do it...

the cells were found via cervical biopsy.

When my daughter was pregnant with her first child, the doctor found precancerous cells.  There is a name for this condition that I cannot remember at the moment but the doctor said that usually when the baby is born, the precancerous cells are washed out.  Well, that is what happened with her first child.  With her second child she again had these precancerous cells but they did not wash out.  These precancerous cells were on the cervix so after she had her baby, the doctor went in a burned off all of the cells.  She has to have a check up every 6 months but the last one the doctor told her that the precancerous cells have not grown back, but her cervix isn't looking that great so he has suggested she have a hysterectomy.

He told her these precancerous cells were not "cancer", but would grow into cancer if not taken care of.
