so my husband is dizzy this morning and isn't going into to dialysis "later" he says. We offered to take him but no. My question is: will they do the dialysis to him with that BP? He has been dizzy from too low of pressure so they took him off one of his 3 meds, and didn't take the other 2 for a couple days. His reading were good (but I knew that was temporary). Is he in any danger right now? Siting here waiting to try t get him to dialysis. nervous wreck I am.

so dialysis called, I told them, they said they have no chair later, that BP high like that means he needs to get dialyzied more than ever, he is stil laying on the sofa an hour and a half later. BP has come down to 177 over ?, but still that is bad. So here we go again. I hate this.
-
Oh Tex, did you manage to convince him to go? What's his reason for not going, just the dizziness?
*huggles*
-
*SIGH*
yep, here we go again.
All I can offer is to wrap my arms around you in a supportive, but poor version of a poppy *HUGGLE*
damn, wish we could get you (and him, bugger it!) to Vegas... for many reasons!!

Ya know Richard, WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS IN VEGAS! LOL
-
oh hell, think MY BP just went up......
:shy;
back to reality... how is he doing now? skipping D is not a smart move(as we all know), and if they have no chair later... gaaa! Is there any chance for Saturday? Do you have ER on speed dial yet? :(

This is so sad. I'm sorry you have to go through this. :grouphug;
-
:grouphug; I wish this was easier.

Shit, Tex here you go again, we carers never get a minute, its a wonder our blood pressure is not sky high. He really does need to go, it scares me when blood pressure is as high as that. Why do they keep messing with meds? I am thinking about you my friend.
-
Hugging you while I scream. :cuddle;
-
:cuddle; for you Tx
:Kit n Stik; for him.
I'm thinking of you.

High BP like that could mean he could have a stroke or anerysum...I really hope he chose to go. Getting the fluid off him would help the BP go down...sorry TexasStyle. :cuddle;

TS, Rachael is right! Once they dialysis him it should come down, and if he is In-Center, it will probably drop significantly! Just another "Bump" in the road that we have to go over! Has he been eating Hi sodium foods that cause him to drink more? I know that J. sometimes will just eat a little salty stuff, and can take his b/p and it will like 190/80 or something like that!
Iam not an advocate for B/P meds, although they help at times, but if someone just watch the sodium in their foods, generally B/P can be maintained! See how he is after D. if it continues to stay hi, then something else is amist!!!
God Bless and keep us informed! Hopefully he won't have to go back on B/P meds.

I'm hearing a lot that the fluids mean a great deal when it comes to BP. No, not watching fluid. No, not watching sodium. Goes through bouts of low too a lot. Today at home after D, it's 84/50. It's been too low lately and he's been dizzy. It never seems to good for very long. *sigh*. But... today i feel good and am in a decent mood. Going shoppping for a bit with my daughter.

Good !! Get out and enjoy yourself!!! If your hubby had a lot of fluid to come off that would cause his b/p to be low at the end of dialysis. Too much fluid on would cause it to be high at the beginning of dialysis.

Is he on any kind of BP med? if so is he taking it???

on a seperate note.. TS is there ANY way you can get to Vegas? Now before anything thinks I'm suggesting anything untoward, I'm thinking that "our" TS needs a break, and what better way than with a bunch of folks that understand some of what she goes through, a place to let her hair out and have some me time. Is there anyone who can be there for hubby for the weekend? could you afford it? We often urge you to take time for you, and seems if this is something you could swing that it would be very thereputic for YOU. Besides I know a whole heap of IHDers would love to see you and show their support in person...
just a thought.

Oh Richard, I would LOVE Vegas, but I'm putting my daughter through college right now so mama is just about broke lol. I think most can relate to that lol. She's doing well, 3.8 grade point avg for International Buissiness. She wants to incorpasrate that into the fashion world. He takes 3 different BP meds. His numbers have been very low for the longest now. Always dizzy to the point it interferes several times during the day. Often, having to sit for breaks if in the store etc.. They took him off 1 recently and he said he was still crappy so he decedided not to take any for a couple days. For that couple days it was "normal" and he felt ggod, with no dizziness. Then the 3rd day it shot so high. I knew personally it was just a matter of time until it spiked becuase the meds are used for a reason. I met a young woman in the park last night who takes care of her mother with an other illness. We spent some time talking about the cargivers role. From 2 different lives, but so much in common. This morning he seems ok and we have plans on going to IKEA. It is cool out but will get hot later. I've been getting my me time a lot this summer so I'm doing not too bad emotionally-mentally.
