I just got over pancreatitis from last month. I was advised that I have a 2.2 cm mass growing on my right kidney. I saw the urologist who told me based on my history it is probably kidney cancer. The next step is for the surgeon to speak to my general practitioner and neph about the benefits/risks of a partial nephrectomy vs. a radical nephrectomy.

Mikey, I'm so so sad to read this news. I'm thinking of you and only wish that that helped in any way at all. :grouphug;

Is there anything else it could be? Im sorry for this news as it is always scarry to get any news of 'mass' of any sort. Wishing you well, sending :grouphug; and prayers for health...

Wow, shocking and overwhelming to say the least. If it does require the nephrectomy, you may want to read Bill Peckham's experiences with kidney cancer and nephrectomy. I am sure there would be loads of helpful information there, and may alleviate some of the fear as well.
So sorry this has come up, Mikey. You are in my thoughts. :grouphug;

May I ask, what is it about your history that makes the doc suspect it is cancer? Apologies for my ignorance.
I imagine you felt the world just stop when you heard that news. :cuddle;
