Welcome Richard. I started in-center hemodialysis when I was 24. It's now 25 years later and counting.
It's good that you have joined our community! I look forward to your posts.
BTW, Nocturnal Hemodialysis is far the best renal replacement therapy this side of a transplant. In fact, some nephrologists believe that 6-nights-a-week nocturnal may be equal to a transplant.
But there are some unanswered questions about how all that dialysis affects the nutritional status of the patient. A lot of amino acids can be lost during the process, and it may be difficult to replace all that is needed by mouth.

Thank you I was not aware of that and I will really look into that... the more we learn the better... right ... and I'm all into learning and when I do so does Jess not only for now but the future

Hi Jester and welcome to our site. I'm sorry your son has to deal with this at such a young age. Bless your heart for being there for him.
I hope to move soon to a city that has Nocturnal In Center. You go there and sleep. I don't know how many nights a week. Even 3 would be better dialysis then I get now at 9 hours.
Best of luck to you.
