I was getting alarm 21 too many times thru  the night..... its because of your changing pressures ....  they go down alot after you lay down...  I found that right before I lay down or after I lay down I reset the machine when my pressures are low .. this has help me alot...  when you get the alarm  reset your machine and then a 8 will come on and the machine will be set to those pressures... I get run about 110 or so when I am laying down and when I sit up I shoot up to 150 or when I stand up to 180 or so ... so yo can see that you can have a lot of different pressures depending on what you are doing....  I know that alarm 21 can be reset in the machine my the clinic nurses so that the machine will not alarm with a narrow margin...in other words  right now the machine may be set for 200 plus or minus 50 and when the machine gets down to 149 you get a alarm cause you are out of that parameter....  they have to make those changes... I called Nxstage and they told me that they would not help me make those changes.... I however did get rid of alarm 5 so I dont have to listen to that alarm when my water is done....  I llike to sleep all night long.....LOL

Yliebert, is it a yellow 21 or a red 21?  Not that that matters cause both can be nerve racking!  I really wish hubby could do nocturnal with NxStage!  It just wouldnt work out for us!  I just really think the longer dialysis, the better!

You are running  a low BFR right?  Do you think that may be clotting the filter?  Seems to me that a slower pressure would cause for more clotting! What BFR do they recommend on nocturnal?

Hubby finally called NXstage and they told him how to change the settings so we wouldn't get all the alarms at night. :shy;
