]I remember very clearly a couple of nights ago when I 1st come across the site name I hate dialysis.com, the first thing that came to my mind is ahaa
this is another opposition party website which will most probably be full of negativeness and I really have to check it out just for the amusement as it will be interesting to once in a while read the politics of back-stabbing, screaming at conventional treatments etc
:stressed; :urcrazy; Not until I sign up last night and took some time off to read the posts carefully, only did I realize how my earlier assumption has been so wrong! To my astonishment, the marvelous people here are not the least after each others throats; either do they curse the ruling party of the day, or spitting at the government for not doing enough etc
These humble yet bighearted god send individuals I find in this website are actually helping one another by lending moral support, exchanging valuable information, a passionate shoulder to lean on and genuine attentive ears - especially to the newbies. Two thumbs up for you great guys!!! :angel; :clap; :2thumbsup; Tears gathered at the corner of my eyes even for a grownup man like me as I read some of the replies and posts - they are not only encouraging, some are even very motivating too
Its really very unbelievable touching to apprehend that strangers will welcome a newbie with such genuine open arms through spontaneous, heartening and inspiring remarks
I am not on dialysis now either am I suffering from any malfunctions of my kidneys at this time but I would like to learn more about dialysis and its treatments as well as kidney transplants as one will never know what will happen tomorrow. I may seem to be enjoying generally good health now, but it doesnt mean I will not be afflicted with kidney disorders or any other degenerative ailments forever. On the other hand, I want to keep people informed of the potential of one developing kidney failures amongst diabetics and those with hypertension should they not take seriously about their current health. I am sort of scared myself because I am a type 2 diabetic since my late teens. I find this website extremely educational too besides being uplifting and I will certainly invite many others to join this excellent site for enriching their knowledge, particularly those who are at risk of predialysis
I would like to thank and praise all the really nice and caring people here taking the effort and valuable time for all the sweet hellos as you welcome newbies to the site even though you or perhaps your loved ones maybe agonizing from kidney failure too and yet you remain so ever strong and positively charged to brighten up someones day
And for the courageous dialysis patients, do stick around as you march down this road and I salute you for your guts to face the world with failing kidneys. Never for a second think that its the end of the world with failed kidneys, but look at the bright side of it, congratulate yourself that its a blessing in disguise you have found this wonderful site which is filled with a bunch of so very loving, supportive and helpful community eagerly awaiting to fellowship with you anytime :thumbup; :yahoo;
Cheers & best regards

Kenzie,
I am all the way from South Africa and I have to tell you that I have made TRUE friends on this site.
They have been with me through very bad times... and I wouldn't have made it without them.
I have received gifts (packages, cards) from all the way around the world from people I have never met....
We cry together, we laugh together, we rant together... It comes down to the fact that we are accepting of each other- no matter who you are.
We have lost a few of our members and I tell you that I cried for days on end.
I love IHD and I hate dialysis. :grouphug;

Hi Des, seems that all of us love “IHD” and hate it at the same time... Thanks for the trouble to write Des and I believe I am going to make quite a lot of true and good friends in here as well, including you. Yes, you are right; everybody here is so kind and compassionate that this community is just like a big family regardless of race and religion. I am sorry to know that you are on haemodialysis, I hope you are coping well with it and I can comprehend why you hate every second of it. May this be the beginning of a great friendship for both of us as I extend my best regards to you and your whole family too. Cheers and God bless abundantly
