Not to my knowledge have I ever heard that happening from drinking too much fluid.

Excess fluid tends to get distributed around the body pooling usually in the legs if anything.

I am not an expert on the fluid gain but after two days if I drank too much I feel it in my lower legs (calf's) I have not experienced side pain though. Hope it was a lot of beer. Might as well make it worth while. :-) Peace

I get pain in my kidneys occasionally... I have polycystic k's and the Dr. tells me it is
most likely a cyst pop or a "bleed"  .  sometimes it is like a pressure type ache and
sometimes it is off the scale painful...
Hope you feel better soon.

Left or right side?  Do you have cystic kidneys?

Hi John, can you do me a favor? In the future please give a better "Subject" description rather than just "question" because it will help people who use the search feature of this site find answers better. For example your subject could have been:

"Does your kidneys hurt if you drink to much?"

Thank you for your understanding.  :thumbup;

My kidneys only hurt when my hemoglobin drops.  I posted about it here - http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=1751.0  I haven't noticed any relationship between the fluid levels and the kidney pain, though.

The only thing that really hurts when I've got too much fluid gain is my wrist.  I've got nerve damage from a failed fistula attempt, and the more fluid I have pressing on the damaged nerves, the more it bothers me.

If I think I have had too much fluid, I feel very full in my stomach and
it feels "icky" and sometimes nauseous.
