Title: a rant!
Post by: sullidog on June 05, 2011, 08:13:37 PM
This rant is not about my center itself it's about  the company in general.
About a year ago I got a bill for a rather large amount, and my dialysis center is not suppose to bill me because I signed a contract between me, my insurance, and the company stating that I will not be billed and that my dialysis center will only accept whatever my insurance pays them. I immediatly took the bill into my social worker who looked into it. The billing department said it was a mistake and that they would fix it do to the contract they can't bill me. Well exactly a year later on Saturday I get a letter stating that my past due balance was being handled by a third party collection and that I need to pay it immediatly, the letter was signed patient advicate which I have no idea who it was. I am going to give the collection letter to my social worker tomorrow to find out what the heck is going on. They promised a year ago this was fixed and then they send me to a collection agency? How dum is that. I sware the billing dept must have some serious disorganization in there or something because this makes the second time I'm dealing with this. I'm a bill collector myself and if I hear from them again regarding this I will treat them like my customers treat me.
Ok, that's my rant for today.

Got a day off?  Go sit on their doorstep at the financial office and annoy them in person - soooo much more effective!

Whatever you do - good luck and kick some arse!    :2thumbsup;

when somebody says "don't worry, its a mistake i'll fix it"

that means you have to chase them around and

make sure its done   and not take for granted its fixed.
