Title: Nuclear imaging
Post by: Kay on May 21, 2011, 01:30:56 AM
Hi folks,
Yesterday I went for a nuclear scan as part of the build up to be  a kidney donor.
However, they said the radioactive material had 'tissued out' and I was sent home and given a new date. Today I have numbness in my little finger on the arm they tried to inject  - is this just coincidence??
Any one else had problems with the scan??
Hope the world does not end before I get some replies - oh - I suppose it won't really matter!!
God bless you all and keep you safe,
Kay

I had nuclear imaging in attempt to donate to my husband. I didn't have any problems with my test (other than failing it).

I would suggest you call them back and ask for a more detailed explanation of what happened for your own peace of mind.

Health care professionals tend to forget that the general public doesn't understand their jargon.

PS. No fear of the world ending. We humans will eventually make the earth uninhabitable, but that is not likely to happen this year, or next.
