Share: "Dear 16-year-old Me" - Real people whose lives have been touched by melanoma. These are not actors. Skin cancer is a risk for transplant patients. Please pass it on.

My good friend died March 10, of this year due to a mole on her foot that turned out to be melanoma.  Very sad.   :(

Yes, this is very important for kidney people as skin cancers may have their beginings long before they "flare up".
I had a friend with a kidney tranplant who died of skin cancer on the eyelid.  It was a terrible, slow death.
I keep a very watchful eye on Gregory's various skin abnormalities (moles etc).  He has had a patch cut off the side of his head above one ear, and I think the other side will go that way too at some point.  He visits a skin specialist every 6 months.

Be sun smart!
